Description
This charming Famille Rose vase is of lantern form with a tapered body and a waisted neck flanked by two stylized bat-form handles highlighted in gilt. The exterior is delicately painted with a classic pastoral scene depicting a young shepherd boy seated atop a water buffalo beneath the shade of a lush willow tree. The scene is rendered with a soft palette of greens, iron-red, and blue, typical of the refined porcelain produced during the Republic Period.
The reverse of the vase features a poetic inscription in black ink, which translates to a peaceful countryside sentiment: “Willow shadows sway as the ox grazes, the flute’s melody lingers in the evening breeze.” (柳荫动牛，田园家乐利). This theme reflects the literati’s yearning for a simple, idyllic rural life. The porcelain is of fine quality with a smooth, white glaze and a neatly finished unglazed foot rim.

CONDITION REPORT
The vase is in overall stable and good condition. The enamel decoration remains vibrant with only minor surface wear and a few tiny firing pinpricks in the glaze. There are minor losses to the gilt on the handles consistent with age. No cracks, hairlines, or signs of professional restoration were observed under standard inspection.

此件粉彩小瓶呈灯笼形，收腹撇口，颈部装饰有一对金彩蝙蝠耳。瓶身通景绘就“柳阴牧牛图”，画中牧童悠然骑于牛背之上，上方垂柳依依，笔触细腻，设色清雅。此种牧童与水牛的题材寓意田园生活的恬静与家族昌盛。
瓶身另一侧以墨彩书写诗文：“柳荫动牛，田园家乐利”，并附有名款。其书法流畅，画意生动，体现了民国时期文人瓷画的典型风格。釉面莹润白皙，胎质细腻，修胎规整。
