Step 1: Initial Assessment
Submit your items for a complimentary, confidential valuation. Please provide high-resolution photographs (front, back, and markings) along with any known provenance, dimensions, and history. Our specialists will review your submission and contact you regarding its auction potential.
Step 2: Expert Examination
Once a preliminary interest is established, we may invite you to our Toronto gallery for a firsthand inspection. Our experts will conduct a thorough physical examination to confirm authenticity, condition, and market value, ensuring an accurate estimate for the global market.
Step 3: Consignment Agreement
Upon mutual agreement on the estimates and reserves, a formal consignment contract will be signed. This document outlines the terms of sale, including our competitive commission rates, insurance coverage, and marketing strategies tailored to your collection.
Step 4: Marketing & Auction
Your items will be professionally cataloged and photographed for our digital and print catalogs. Leveraging our extensive network of international collectors, we ensure maximum visibility through global platforms and private previews leading up to the auction day.
Step 5: Settlement & Payment
After a successful sale, Leslie International Auction will collect payment from the buyer and provide a detailed settlement statement. Final proceeds, net of agreed commissions and expenses, will be disbursed to you in a timely and secure manner.
