Description
This impressive four-tiered cylindrical box represents the exuberant “Famille Rose” (fencai) palette. The vessel is notable for its vibrant use of contrasting ground colors—pink, cobalt blue, lemon yellow, and turquoise—each tier meticulously decorated with formal lotus scrolls and floral cartouches.
The vessel consists of four interlocking cylindrical sections surmounted by a gently domed cover, topped with a gilded spherical finial. Each level features four ogival (diamond-shaped) medallions, exquisitely painted with delicate sprigs of seasonal blossoms against a crisp white ground. The sides are punctuated by iron-red molded “lion-mask” faux-handles, adding a rhythmic verticality and a touch of archaism to the rounded form. The deliberate use of four distinct background colors suggests a desire for technical virtuosity, a hallmark of high-quality decorative wares of the 19th and early 20th centuries.

CONDITION REPORT
The box is in overall excellent condition. The enamels remain bright and well-preserved with minimal loss to the gilding on the finial. No visible cracks or restorations. Minor expected surface wear and firing imperfections (pinpricks) consistent with the period. The interlocking rims show light shelf wear but remain secure.

器身各层分别以胭脂粉、宝石蓝、柠檬黄、孔雀绿为地。地色之上满绘缠枝花卉纹，并设有四个菱形开光。开光内白地绘折枝花卉纹，笔触细腻，色彩柔和，与斑斓的锦地形成对比。盖顶设金彩圆珠钮，每层器身侧面饰有矾红彩狮首小系。四层色彩各异，对比鲜明，展现了极高的装饰艺术水平及釉色配比能力，极具观赏性与艺术价值。
