The dish is masterfully potted with an open mouth, gently curved walls, and a sturdy circular foot, exhibiting a refined and balanced form. The porcelain body is covered in a thick, lustrous white glaze that is both even and radiant. The decoration skillfully combines underglaze blue with famille-rose enamels, a sophisticated technique that creates a rich visual hierarchy. The central medallion is hand-painted in vibrant enamels, depicting a pastoral “Farming and Weaving” (Gengzhi Tu) inspired scene of a young boy playfully perched atop a water buffalo. The narrative is framed by craggy rockwork and a gnarled pine tree, symbols of longevity and resilience. The rim is elegantly bordered by a continuous band of interlocking lotus motifs in cobalt blue. The base is inscribed with a six-character seal mark of Qianlong in underglaze blue.
