The punch bowl is of a grand and substantial circular form, featuring deep rounded sides supported by a sturdy, well-defined ring foot. It is crafted from a high-quality porcelain body with a lustrous, milk-white glaze characteristic of the finest export wares of the mid-18th century. The exterior is masterfully decorated with two primary armorial devices, featuring intricate heraldic shields surrounded by scrolling plumes and floral mantling. The painting is executed in a vibrant yet delicate famille-rose palette, with subtle tonal gradations providing a rich sense of depth and formality. The rim is further embellished with an elegant gilded border, adding a regal touch to the overall design.
此盌体量宏阔，呈圆口、深腹、圈足，形制端庄稳重。胎质坚实细腻，通体施白釉，釉面呈现乾隆时期典型的莹润光洁感。盌身外壁左右对称绘有两组精美的家族纹章（Armorial device）：盾牌造型古朴庄重，周围环绕着极具巴洛克风格的卷草纹与繁复的花卉装饰，笔触精细入微。粉彩发色鲜艳而不失柔美，红、绿、金彩交相辉映，极具视觉层次感。口沿饰以精致的描金边饰，尽显清代全盛时期外销艺术的繁荣。
This bowl is a quintessential example of Chinese Armorial Porcelain commissioned by European noble families during the Qianlong reign (1736-1795). Standing at over 12 inches in diameter, this was a prestigious centerpiece designed for the service of “punch,” a luxury beverage in 18th-century Europe. The specific armorial patterns were often sent to Jingdezhen as drawings, where Chinese artisans meticulously translated Western heraldry onto the porcelain medium. This piece reflects the pinnacle of the maritime Silk Road trade, blending the technical supremacy of Chinese ceramics with the genealogical pride of the European elite.
纹章瓷（又称勋章瓷）是清代外销瓷中最为名贵的品类之一。此类大盌直径达30.8厘米，在当时主要用于欧洲社交场合中盛装潘趣酒（Punch），是身份与财富的象征。其图案需按照欧洲家族提供的设计稿由景德镇画工严谨复刻，体现了中西文化与工艺的深度融合。乾隆时期的粉彩纹章瓷以其精湛的绘工和坚致的胎质著称，由于此类器物多为私人定制且存世量有限，使其在今日的收藏市场中具备极高的历史研究与艺术价值。
CONDITION REPORT
• Condition: The bowl exhibits a faint hairline crack extending from the rim down into the body wall. The famille-rose enamels remain vibrant. Expected minor, age-appropriate wear to the interior and some rubbing to the gilded rim. No significant chips or restorations detected.
• 状况： 盌体口沿至盌壁处见一处冲线。粉彩发色依然鲜艳。盌内壁见时代特征之轻微自然磨损，口沿描金处见部分磨金痕迹。经检测无重大崩口或修复迹象，整体保存状况尚可。
