The brush pot is of a classic, substantial cylindrical form with a flat rim and a slightly recessed base. The exterior is vibrantly decorated in a rich Wucai (five-color) palette, depicting a continuous narrative scene of figures engaged in a riverside fishing expedition. The composition is masterfully balanced with lush, gnarled pine trees, dense bamboo groves, and rhythmic swirling water ripples. The figures are rendered in vibrant robes of iron-red, leaf-green, and amber-yellow, their facial expressions captured with a spirited liveliness. The brushwork, particularly in the meticulous rendering of the foliage and the architectural rockwork, reflects the influence of the literati painting tradition of the early to mid-Qing period.

A brush pot of this impressive diameter (20.3 cm) was a prestigious object for a scholar’s desk, designed not only for utility but as a centerpiece of intellectual contemplation. The “Fisherman in Landscape” motif is a classic literati theme, symbolizing a peaceful life in harmony with nature and a withdrawal from the vanities of officialdom. The robust potting and the vibrant, well-preserved enamels make this an exceptional example of Qing dynasty narrative porcelain. The use of bold green and underglaze blue tones against the warm white ground creates a dynamic visual rhythm, characteristic of the fine Wucai wares produced in Jingdezhen for the sophisticated domestic market.

• Condition: In overall very good condition. The enamels remain exceptionally vibrant with minimal surface wear. A few characteristic firing pinpricks and minor iron spots inherent to the material. No chips, cracks, or restorations.
• 状况： 整体品相良好。五彩发色鲜艳，釉面见极轻微自然磨损。见少量时代特征之自然窑针及铁质斑点，不掩整体美感。经检测无任何崩口、裂纹或修复迹象。
