Description
This charming dish is finely painted in a vibrant shade of underglaze blue, characteristic of the high-quality cobalt used during the Kangxi reign. The interior is decorated with a lively scene depicting a pair of phoenixes (fenghuang)—the kings of birds—flitting amongst lush, blossoming peony branches. The composition is dense yet balanced, with the flowing tail feathers of the birds mirroring the organic curves of the floral petals.
The exterior is left undecorated, showcasing the smooth, slightly bluish-white glaze typical of the period. The base is marked with a six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle reading “Qi Shi Mei Yu Zhi Zhen” (Precious Treasure of the Rare Stone and Beautiful Jade). This is a classic “commendation mark” (赞颂款) frequently found on high-quality private kiln wares of the Kangxi period, reflecting the literati’s appreciation for porcelain that rivaled the beauty of natural gemstones.

CONDITION REPORT
The dish is in good overall condition. The blue and white decoration remains crisp and bright. There is a very small, shallow flake or glaze flea bite to the rim, and expected minor surface scratches and kiln-related pinpricks consistent with age. No major cracks or restorations are evident.

此盘撇口，弧壁，圈足。内底以青花绘“凤穿牡丹”图，发色浓翠鲜艳，具有典型的康熙时期青花特征。画面中两只凤凰穿梭于盛开的牡丹花丛之中，凤尾线条流畅，牡丹花瓣层次分明，寓意“功名富贵”与“吉祥如意”。
外壁光素无纹，釉面莹润泛青。足底双圈内青花书**“奇石美玉之珍”**六字楷书款。此款为康熙时期著名的赞颂款（吉语款），多见于工艺精湛的民窑精品，以此赞美瓷器质地如美玉奇石般珍贵。盘底见有一处墨书，应为早年藏家之收藏标记。
