Description
This exquisite pair of ‘palace bowls’ (gongwan) exemplifies the ‘Late Qing Renaissance’ of the Guangxu period, a time when the imperial kilns sought to revive the celebrated ceramic styles of the Kangxi reign. The bowls are elegantly potted with deep, rounded sides, decorated in vibrant underglaze blue. The exterior features four lobed medallions (quatrefoil panels) enclosing various floral compositions, set against a ground of dense, rhythmic scrolling foliage.
The rims are bound in metal, a traditional method used to protect the delicate mouth or to signify high status. The bases carry a four-character mark in underglaze blue reading Kangxi Nian Zhi (Made in the Kangxi Reign). During the Guangxu period, such apocryphal marks were widely used on high-quality wares to pay homage to the technical mastery and artistic vigor of the 17th century.

CONDITION REPORT
The bowls are in very good condition consistent with their age. Both feature metal-bound rims; the enamels and blue decoration remain bright and well-preserved. There are minor firing-related iron spots and pinpricks in the glaze. No visible cracks or professional restorations. The associated carved wooden stands show light surface wear.

此对宫碗形制端庄，胎质坚致，为晚清光绪时期仿康熙风格的佳作。光绪朝曾掀起仿古热潮，力求重现康熙青花的雄健神韵。碗外壁绘有四个海棠形开光，内绘折枝花卉，笔触细腻，青花发色明艳且层次分明。开光间隙衬以繁密的缠枝花卉纹，构图严谨。
碗口沿镶有金属边（镶口），工艺考究。底部青花书“康熙年制”四字双行楷书寄托款，书法风格具有鲜的光绪时期特征。此类器物不仅反映了当时对盛世工艺的推崇，亦是晚清精品青花瓷器中的典型代表。
