Description
This monumental and exceptionally well-modeled Yixing zisha (purple clay) figure depicts the Bodhisattva Guanyin standing in a graceful and serene posture. The figure is rendered with great detail, showing Guanyin with a compassionate facial expression and downcast eyes, her head surmounted by a high cowl and an elaborate tiara. She is dressed in voluminous, flowing robes that drape elegantly over her body, falling in rhythmic folds that suggest a sense of movement.
The deity holds a meticulously crafted lotus spray resting against her right shoulder, symbolizing purity. She stands atop a substantial double-lotus pedestal, with her bare feet peeking from beneath the hem of her robes. The clay is of a rich, deep chocolate-brown tone with a smooth, matte finish characteristic of high-quality Yixing stoneware. The back of the figure bears two impressed square seals, identifying the master artist Xu Xiutang (徐秀堂製).

CONDITION REPORT
The figure is in overall excellent and stable condition. The zisha clay retains its original deep color and smooth surface texture, with only minor expected surface wear and a few tiny firing imperfections consistent with its large scale. The lotus spray is intact and securely attached. The pedestal shows minor typical abrasions along the base rim from handling. No cracks, major chips, or signs of professional restoration were observed under standard inspection.

此件宜兴紫砂观音立像体量宏大，工艺精湛。观音菩萨神态安详，法相庄严，双目微闭，头戴高冠，外罩帔帛。其身披宽大长袍，衣褶线条流畅，飘逸自然，充分展现了紫砂泥塑表现织物纹理的高超技艺。
观音右手持一枝盛开的莲花，斜依肩头，寓意圣洁。足下跣足站立于大型双层莲花宝座之上。此像采用上等紫砂泥制作，泥色呈深褐，包浆润泽，质地细腻。造像背面及莲座处署有两枚方形印章款识，印文为“徐秀堂製”。徐秀堂为当代紫砂塑艺大师，此类由其亲自设计或监制的大体量造像殊为难得，是当代宜兴陶塑的精品之作。
