Exquisitely carved from a substantial Khotan white jade boulder, the stone possesses a warm, translucent quality with a lustrous, “mutton-fat” greasy finish. The jade exhibits a pristine white tone with subtle hints of celadon, featuring a dense, fine-grained structure and exceptional “waxy” (nuo) consistency. The boulder is masterfully rendered using a combination of round carving and high relief to create a three-dimensional “landscape painting in stone.” The primary face depicts a serene, idyllic scene: towering ancient pines with meticulously layered needles; pavilions and terraces nestled into the mountainside; and figures of farmers and scholars traversing mountain paths. The workmanship exemplifies the obsessive pursuit of aesthetic perfection characteristic of the High Qing period.
此山子由上等和田白玉大料雕琢而成，玉质极尽温润，呈现出内敛的油脂光泽。玉色白皙纯净，结构致密，糯性极佳。匠人采用圆雕、高浮雕及深挖镂雕等多种技法，在玉石上营造出“立体山水”的宏大视觉效果。正面刻画了一幅《村庄农庆图》：古松参天，针叶以典型的“扇形松”表现，层次分明；亭台楼阁依山而建，结构严谨。山径间农人忙碌，高士对谈，形神兼备。其对松鳞、屋瓦及人物衣纹的刻画入微，充分体现了乾隆时期御窑玉雕工艺的巅峰水准。
The reverse features a smooth, cliff-like surface incised and gilt-filled with an Imperial Poem titled “Imperial Poem on the Joy of the Harvest Village”: “In the mountain hamlet, no other affairs intrude, save for the celebration of a bountiful year. The harvest is gathered in haste; every granary is filled to the brim. The community is bound by the sounds of roaming poultry and hounds; neighbors live in close harmony from west to east. Gathering to talk of farming and sericulture, they revive the simple and pure customs of antiquity.”The calligraphy is executed in the elegant “Cabinet Style” (Guange Ti) of the Qianlong court, underscoring the piece’s prestigious Imperial provenance.
山子背面平整处阴刻填金乾隆御制诗一首，题为《御制题村庄农庆图》：“山庄无别事，惟是祝丰年。纳稼却却急，高囤户户同。社常接鸡犬，邻不远西东。相聚农桑话，于于太古风。” 字体规整隽永，具典型的宫廷“馆阁体”风骨，金彩夺目，彰显了该器物皇室陈设之高贵等级。
Imperial jade boulders inscribed with poems (Yuzhi Shi Shanzi) reached their artistic zenith during the 18th century. The Emperor frequently commissioned his compositions to be carved onto precious jade, creating a sophisticated synthesis of poetry, calligraphy, and lapidary art. This large-scale boulder (28.3 cm in length) stands as a testament to the Emperor’s ideal of agrarian harmony and his patronage of the arts. 此类“御制诗山子”盛行于清中叶。乾隆皇帝常命工匠将自己的诗作镌刻于珍罕玉料之上，将诗、书、画、印与玉石融为一体。此件山子体量硕大（长逾28厘米），布局疏密有致，既表达了统治者对“丰年农庆”的政治寄托，也展现了中国古代玉石工艺的最高成就。与北京故宫博物院所藏的“大禹治水”或“秋山行旅”等重器在艺术审美上一脉相承，是藏家不容错过的清代玉雕重器。
CONDITION REPORT
• Condition: In overall excellent condition. The white jade remains lustrous and well-preserved. Minor natural skin (russet color) on the edges consistent with Khotan boulders. The gilt-filled calligraphy is largely intact. No major chips or restorations.
• 状况： 整体品相极佳。玉质光洁润泽，保存完好。局部可见和田籽料特有的天然皮色（红褐色）。阴刻填金书法保存完整，字迹清晰。经检测无任何重大崩口或修复迹象。
