The mug is of a classic cylindrical form, featuring a deep body, a slightly flared rim, and a sturdy C-shaped handle. Crafted from a fine and compact porcelain body, it is covered in an even white glaze with a lustrous finish. The exterior is elegantly decorated in a vibrant famille-rose palette, showcasing delicate sprays of seasonal blossoms and scrolling foliage. The floral motifs are executed with refined brushwork, framed by decorative iron-red borders and stylized scrollwork at the rim. Export mugs of this type were highly sought after in European and American markets during the Qianlong reign (1736–1795). While the form was adapted to suit Western drinking habits, the “Mandarin” style floral decoration provided the exotic charm of Chinoiserie that was fashionable in 18th-century households. This particular example, with its focus on botanical themes and understated iron-red accents, offers a more restrained and scholarly aesthetic compared to heavily gilded narrative pieces. Standing at 11.2 cm, it remains a charming and well-preserved representative of the historic maritime porcelain trade.

• Condition: In overall very good condition. The famille-rose enamels and iron-red borders remain vibrant. Minor natural kiln imperfections and characteristic age-appropriate wear to the handle and base. No major chips, cracks, or restorations detected.
